We chose Sayulita because not only is it a beautiful place, but there is so much to do - just one step into the town and there are so many options, however we wanted to give you some vacation inspiration as well.

Swim

Playa de los Muertos: A tranquil beach just south of the main beach, ideal for swimming and boogie boarding. It's less crowded and offers calm waters, making it perfect for families.

Sayulita Beach: Located in the heart of town, this beach is great for swimming, especially at the southern end where the waves are gentler.

Playa Carricitos: A secluded beach known for its stunning sunsets and serene atmosphere. While it's a bit of a hike to get there, the peaceful environment is worth the effort.

Explore

Mercado del Pueblo: A weekly farmers market offering fresh produce, artisanal goods, and local crafts.

Pacha Mama: A boutique featuring handcrafted jewelry and clothing made by local artisans.

Evoke the Spirit: Showcases traditional Huichol art and textiles, blending indigenous culture with modern design.

Hike

Monkey Mountain (Cerro del Mono): A moderately challenging hike that rewards you with panoramic views of the coastline.

Sayulita to San Pancho Trail: An easy coastal jungle trail connecting Sayulita to the neighboring town of San Pancho, offering scenic views and wildlife sightings.

Playa Malpaso: A hidden beach accessible via a jungle trail, perfect for those seeking solitude and natural beauty.

Eat

Barracuda (High-End): Renowned for its fresh seafood dishes, including the seafood molcajete and pulpo. A must-visit for seafood lovers.

La Rustica (Mid-Range): Offers a fusion of Italian and Mexican cuisine, famous for its fish tacos and wood-fired pizzas.

El Itacate (Budget-Friendly): Known for its unique cheese-wrapped burritos and flavorful tacos, offering great value for money.

Surf

Main Beach (Sayulita Beach): Ideal for beginners with its consistent waves and numerous surf schools offering lessons.

Playa La Lancha: Located near Punta de Mita, this beach offers more challenging waves suitable for intermediate to advanced surfers.
